BOOKING TERMS & CONDITIONS
Each guest is accountable for reading the conditions and terms of your booking. Your booking is fixed to these conditions. Deposit Payment to Sheenco Travel indicates approval of the terms and conditions outlined here;
Passage to Ireland:
Sheenco Travel provides a ‘land only’ service – we are an incoming tour operator. Therefore Sheenco Travel is not accountable for travel by passengers into or out of Britain and Ireland. Sheenco Travel might sell flight tickets as part of a connected program but all liability for the sale of the airline lies with the licensed agent. Sheenco Travel will not be accountable for cancellations, delays or other similar obstacles to your entry point.
Deposits & Payments:
More than 90 days before departure, any bookings will require a non-refundable 25% deposit of the land-cost total. Ninety days prior to departure the remaining balance will be due . There are some deviations to these requirements for certain products and these are listed further on. The deposit is forfeit if full payment is not received and reservations are automatically cancelled. Until full payment has been received confirmation numbers or travel documents will not be e-mailed out. Payment by Visa and MasterCard are certainly accepatable. Payments by Discover and American Express will include an additional service fee of 2%. Wire transfers are also acceptable and must be paid in full within 30 days of arrival. If choosing this option, Sheenco Travel’s bank details will be supplied to process the wire transfer payment.
Package tour dates are not guaranteed. If the itinerary is cancelled by tour suppliers before your arrival the next availability will be offered to you at no extra land cost. If you do not find this acceptable, a full refund of the cost of the tour will be made. Sheenco Travel does not take responsibility for any extra fees or costs related to the package booking. If a non-refundable airline ticket is purchased, ensure that you are aware of the terms under which the ticket is booked, as Sheenco Travel is not liable for any penalties incurred due to non-refundable flight cancellations.
General Cancellation Fees:
Loss of deposit if you cancel 90 days before your date of arrival
Loss of 50% of payment if you cancel between 89 to 30 days before your date of arrival
100% loss if you cancel less than 30 days before date of arrival
Sheenco Travel firmly advises that you obtain travel insurance for your trip and are happy to offer numerous options through our partners at the Travel Insurance Center. If you make a change, after receipt of deposit or full payment you will be charged, an amendment fee of $30 (“Amendment Fee”) by Sheenco Travel. Coach Hire, Car Rental companies, Hotels etc. may charge extra fees for cancellation or changes. Cancellation of part or all of your travel package or changes made must be identified in writing to Sheenco Travel before we can make any cancellations or changes.
Your Documents will be emailed 14 days before your departure date – confirmation numbers will be included.
Unused package arrangements:
Exchanges or refunds cannot be given for accommodations which are unused, features or services of any package unless agreed upon before departure. Disputes or claims should be submitted in writing to Sheenco Travel no later than 4 weeks after the tour’s final date.
Sheenco Travel is not liable for government actions, mechanical breakdowns, acts of God, weather, missed connections or expenses related to/from flights or other situations beyond its control. We strongly recommend you purchase travel insurance to guard against unforeseen circumstances.
Sheenco Travel does not compensate or reimburse you if your arrival into Britain or Ireland is delayed beyond your scheduled arrival date because of cancellation or delays by the air carrier. We recommend you purchase Trip Insurance to protect against this.
Reservations will be secured on receipt of your deposit. Guests must contact Sheenco Travel if they have breached any of the car rental company’s conditions. Terms and Conditions of the Car Rental Companies are displayed at the bottom of this page.
Please be aware the Car Rental Company will need an imprint of your credit card when you are collecting your vehicle to allow for fuel deposit, any excess (deductible), etc. Each Car rental includes all taxes, any compulsory insurance and unlimited mileage. When the rental vehicle is not dropped back to the same location as it is picked up this will incur to a one way fee payable to your car hire company at the collection point. Additional optional insurances will be offered to you by the Car Rental company at the point of pick up. This insurance and any other extras you might choose such as child seats, GPS, additional driver(s), etc., will be billed directly to you by the rental company.
We use different companies in the UK and Ireland so please review the correct policies relating to your package. For combined trips to Ireland and the UK you might utilize both car rental companies so you will need to be aware of the detailed terms and conditions for both countries. We will secure your reservations when your deposit is received. The hotels requested by the Guest will be booked by Sheenco Travel but if the first choice is unavailable then an alternative of the same standard as close as possible to the location requested will be confirmed instead. The booking deposit/payment on your hotel accommodation is refundable if the first choice of accommodation is unavailable and the second option offered is not suitable.
Chauffeur Driven Tours
Once your deposit is received reservations are secured. All Chauffeur Driven Tours include insurance, vehicle rental, gas, all fees and taxes and driver’s expenses, however gratuity is not included. Additional costs which can occur to be covered by guest include parking costs, ferries and tolls. To comply with Irish law Driver/Guides are available for 8 hours per day with an overnight rest period of at least 11 hours.
Escorted Coach Tours:
When we receive your deposit the reservations will be secured. After the tour is confirmed any change or cancellation made by the guest will be subject to change fees or cancellation penalties. At time of booking please specify preferred room type. Sheenco Travel are entitled to alter a tour itinerary as required.
We are not held accountable for any property damage, personal injury, or any loss a guest sustains on travel organized by Sheenco, due to acts or omissions by any public transport company, air carrier, subcontractor, car rental company, hotel, or other person or organization, even if the company (or not) is rendering any services to Sheenco Travel. All vouchers and tickets are provided subject to the aforementioned and to all conditions and terms under which services and transportation are provided. Sheenco Travel does not responsibility for expenses or losses due to changes or delays with schedules, flight cancellations due to weather, mechanical issues, sickness, strikes, quarantine, war or other causes. Customers must bear all such expenses or losses.
A Sheenco Travel guest contract is conditional on and directed by and created to comply with the national laws of those countries they are traveling to (Ireland/Britain) and condtional to the jurisdiction exclusive of those countries (Britain and Ireland) courts.

Credit Card at start of rental is necessary to cover Speed Camera’s, Toll Fee’s, Parking Offenses etc.
At the end of rental a cash payment can be settled
Tax: This is included at a rate of 13.5%.
Location Service/Airport : This is included in the rates.
Hours Grace: When returning the vehicle guests are allowed a 29 minute grace period.

The surcharge for young drivers is EUR 26 per day including which is payable directly to the car rental company.

If you are aged between 75 – 79 years you can rent a car subject to certain stipulations :-
1 ) You must hold a current motor insurance policy and regularly drive.
2 ) You must prove that you have been in good health for a minimum of 12 months with a letter from your doctor stating this fact.
3 ) You will also need to supply a letter from your insurers stating that you have not been involved in any incidents in the past 5 years.
At the time of rental all drivers must have a valid national driving license for a minimum of 2 years. Learner or Provisional drivers or drivers with an endorsed license are not permitted to rent a car – for example if the license is endorsed with a drink driving disqualification.
One Way Fees
Southern Ireland: Between Dublin Downtown Locations ( North Circular Road & South Circular Locations ) and Dublin Airport one Way rentals are free of charge on all rental durations.
In all other areas if your pick up and drop off location differs a one way drop to another Hertz Location means the following fees apply :-
3 + days => One Way Fee of EUR 70
Shannon Airport / Kerry Airport / South Circular Road / North Circular Road /
Knock Airport / Waterford City / Cork Airport / Cork City /Sligo / Wexford /
Northern Irl : EUR 160 applies to returns as a one way fee at these locations in Northern Ireland :- City of Derry / Belfast Downtown /Belfast Int’l Airport / Belfast City Airport /

Compulsory Motor Ins: Within statutory Irish Law, a car hire company must supply insurance for damage to any other property/vehicle or injury to another person ( death included ). Compulsory Motor Insurance does not mean that you are insured against repairs or damage to the car (see below CDW – Collision Damage Waiver) and also does not mean that you are insured against loss or injury to the Driver.
Theft Protection: (included) In the event the vehicle is stolen, Theft Protection ( TP ) allows insurance for the rental vehicle on condition the damage excess will be paid by the Renter – see below
Collision Damage Waiver: ( CDW ) – The Driver is insured for damage incurred to the rental vehicle subject to the excess damage to be paid by the vehicle renter which are ;

Optional Insurances available to the renter
Super Cover: Super Cover ( SCDW ) can be added to a rental which reduces the damage Excess to Zero . The following are the applicable amounts payable directly to the car rental company:-

Driver & Baggage: PAI/DBP is optional at 38.50Euro or 5.50 Euro per week payable to the car rental company directly .
Additional Driver: For each additional driver a charge of 9.50 Euro per day will be applied, including tax – this is paid to the car rental company directly .
Optional Extras – Payable directly to the car rental company
Baby Seats: Baby seats are available on request (EUR 40 per hire) and are appropriate for children aged between 6 Months – 4 / 5 years. A charge of EUR 100 is applied if the Seat is not returned at the end of the rental period.
Booster Seats: Booster seats are available on request (EUR 15 per hire) and appropriate for children aged between 5 – 11 years.
GPS: GPS Units ( Neverlost – Hertz) although not 100% guaranteed in advance can be hired at EUR 15.89 per day Or EUR 73.78 per week – this includes tax.
Fuel: The rental vehicle will have a full tank of fuel at pick up – if this is returned full then no additional fees will apply. If not returned full a fuel charge will apply as well as a service refueling cost of EUR 9.50 which includes tax.
Fuel Purchase Option: You will have the choice of prepaying for a tank of fuel at the rental pick up location at a rate which is discounted ( to be advised at location ). You should try to return the vehicle with an empty fuel tank or as close as possible to empty, as no refund is paid for any unused fuel.
At each pick up location, you are asked to familiarize yourself with any pre-existing defects or damage recorded by the rental company staff when carrying out the Vehicle Pre-Inspection ( VPI ) -photographs of the vehicle will be available to you with comments explained and notations in red. A copy of the PDF report is emailed to you and these photographs are assigned to your Rental Agreement.
When you collect your car you are asked to double check that it matches the Vehicle Pre Inspection – if it does not match then the report can be revised before you leave with the vehicle and an additional report is emailed to you noting the amendments.
If the rental vehicle is damaged– the renter must pay the charge for the Limited Excess ( or standard amount for excess if the LEP has been cancelled ) . Renters might be liable for these extra charges also:-
i ) The vehicle is damaged due to water damage and/or driving through flood water.
ii ) If the vehicle clutch assembly is damaged because of driver error.
iii ) If the cars components/and or engine is damaged due to gross negligence.
iv ) If damage was caused by incorrect/contaminated fuel.
v ) If the car has been damaged as a result of locking the keys inside the vehicle or the theft or loss of the keys.
vi ) If the vehicle has been damaged due to being driven off-road.
vii ) If Emergency Roadside Assistance is required, call out charges will apply.
viii ) If specialist equipment is required, recovery charges will be incurred.
When the car is drpped back to the return location it is checked & compared with the VPI report from pick up. Any damages incurred are recorded and this report copy is sent on to the renters email and our Claims /Damage Department for processing.
Notify car rental Head Office immediately and the Police/Gardai(Ireland) of any rental car incidents – loss, theft of the vehicle, traffic accident or damage. If third parties are involved – their details should be provided also such as insurers, owners, drivers, policy numbers, vehicle registration numbers and details of witnesses – (their contact details) telephone numbers, addresses and names. An incident report form is also required to be completed.
Traffic fines / Toll charges
The renter of the vehicle is liable for all fines and any outcomes of the breach of parking and/or traffic regulations during the rental period. When the vehicle rental company must pay these fines, the renter consents that their credit or charge card is debited after the return of the car or during the rental period with the cost of any fine, as well as an administration fee.
The Dublin M50 Motorway operates a “ No Barrier tolling “ system between Junction 6 ( N3 Blanchardstown ) and Junction 7 ( N4 Lucan ). Every rental vehicle is now registered with the Toll Operator and the rental company will be automatically charged for each toll fee. 3.10 Euro per toll usage is directly charged to the renters credit card. These toll fees may change.
Tolling Booths occur elsewhere in Ireland – these have barriers in operation and cash payment is available with toll operators – the renter of the vehicle is liable for payment at any of these toll locations.

|Age Requirements||Every driver has to be aged 25 years or more.|
If aged between 25 to 29 drivers can rent any vehicle except large size (MPV and MPVA)MPVs , 4x4s (IFMR/IFAR and FFMR/FFAR), large premiums (LDMR/LDAR) and small premiums (PDMR/PDAR). Also V6 vans are not permitted to be rented by 25 to 29 year olds. Anyone who is aged 30 or more will be able to rent every vehicle available.
|Child Safety Seat||At a charge of £9.00 per day child seats are available at our airport locations with a maximum fee of £99.99 per month. These child seats must be ordered when the reservation is made. At a cost of £35.00 per rental child seats are permitted to go one way. Renters must fit the child seat themselves – rental staff are not required to do this. There is a replacement fee of £130.00 for each child seat, if necessary. (the charges listed are liable to all applicable taxes)|
|GPS Navigation Device||You can hire a GPS unit at an Enterprise airport branch. There is a charge of £13.32 per day per GPS unit – the maximum fee is £66.62 for one month. If a unit needs to be replaced a replacement fee of £170.00 will be charged. (all of the rates listed here are liable to applicable taxes)|
|Cross Border Policy||Except for travel to the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland no transport rented from Enterprise Rent-A-Car can be taken out of the UK Mainland – the vehicle has to be returned to the region it was rented within. £125 fee per rental is incurred if you take the vehicle to the Republic of Ireland —please get in touch with the local branch before you collect the vehicle to organize this procedure. You are required to give 48 hours notice to take a vehicle across the border. A charge of £75 will be incurred when taking the vehicle from Northern Ireland to Southern Ireland.|
|Oneway rentals||A one way fee of £50 will be charged when a vehicle is not returned to the original pick up location. Solely within mainland UK are one way rentals permitted.|
|Renter Requirement|| Any driver must have valid, full national license and must also meet the rental branch’s minimum age requirements.|
UK License: Where it is applicable a driving licence with photograph is required to be shown.
Must have held a full UK driving licence.
A driver with a paper license exclusively must also show photo ID in the form of a a Police Warrant Card, Valid Passport or Armed Forces Identification Card. Other forms of Photo ID are not acceptable. Any driver with a UK home address who uses a debit card to make a payment is required to pass an address check online as verification that the given address is their residence. Rental is not permissable upon failing this verification check.
If UK Nationals are domiciled overseas it is advisable to utilize a driving license from the country they currently reside in otherwise they will be accountable to the above.
With an Overseas Licence: You are required to have an International driving permit and also with all non European licences if the licence is written with characters or in a different language to those of the country you are renting within.
You must provide a domestic driving license as well as your International Driving License (when this is required).
From the time they become a resident UK residents who have a non-EU license can drive in the UK for up to 12 months. The overseas licence is deemed illegal in the UK after these 12 months pass and you must then acquire a UK licence.
A driver who holds a non-EU licence is required to provide a valid, full passport when renting and the name on the driving licence must match the reservation name. Be aware that we are entitled to request extra identification from you if required for additional identity checks which may involve an external credit company.
All major Credit and Debit and Credit cards (excluding Solo, Prepaid, Diners Club, Visa Electron and all unstamped maestro/creditcards/debit) are welcomed. When the vehicle is picked up, you will be charged £200.00 (this is a security deposit) on your card. If you hire a premium vehicle then a £500 security deposit is necessary. When the vehicle is returned and it is deemed acceptable, the security deposit will be credited. Cash or Cheque payment is not permitted.
A debit card is not permitted when renting a 4×4 or premium vehicles. The rental policy holder’s name must be on the card used to make the payment and deposit. Refueling Policy – A minimum of one quarter of a tank is provided with each vehicle. The renter can choose either to pay for used Fuel on return of the rental vehicle or also Fuel Pre-Purchase.

Roadside Assistance ; If you require roadside assistance these contact details are outlined on the rental contract. Please call this number if necessary. We reserve the entitlement ( depending on the situation) not to substitute the vehicle and can pass on callout/repair charges to the renter.
Roadside Assistance Protection ; (RAP)This is an agreement between Enterprise rental company and the customer where Enterprise will to waive its entitlement to take payment for any glass damages, lost key service and lock out, tyre damages and breakdown call out service. This cover is dependant on the actions that nullify RAP, as stated in the rental agreement. £5.75 per day is charged (airport locations) – this is subject to change.

The excess to be paid can be lessened at the Enterprise location when you pick up the vehicle if you subscribe to an Extended Protection; charges for this can vary and will be stated at location. Agreed charges are not a part of a relationship with the renter and are not refundable.

|Age Requirements||To rent up to a class SDMR vehicle each driver must have been eligible to hold a licence for eight years. For IKMN , FVAR (MPVs) vehicles, SVMR/IVMR, FKMN (vans) and FVMR drivers must have been eligible for a licence for eleven years. Small premium – (PDMR ) vehicles are available exclusively at airports to drivers who have been eligible for a licence for more than 13 years.|
|Child Safety Seat||The fee for a child seat is €10.00 per day and must be ordered when you make the reservation. These are available at our airport locations at a maximum of €100.00 per rental. Any child seat has to be returned to the airport. It is essential that renters fit the child seat – rental staff are not required to do this. If a child seat needs to be replaced then a fee is incurred of €130.00. (any charge listed here are liable to any applicable taxes)|
|GPS Navigation Device||A GPS unit costs €15.51 per day and are available from airport locations. GPS units must be returned to their collection point and if replacement is required, a fee of €190.00 is charged. (all fees listed are subject to any applicable taxes)|
|Cross Border Policy||Any vehicle rented cannot be taken out of Mainland Ireland. However, no fee is incurred if taking the vehicle to Northern Ireland. Each item of transport must be returned to the region it was collected from. Contact the local branch before collection of the vehicle to make arrangements.|
|Oneway rentals||When a vehicle is returned to a different location to the pick up branch a one way fee of €50 will be incurred. This one way arrangement is only allowed within mainland Ireland. No fee is charged for one ways between these routes: A – Dublin City Centre and Dublin Airport B. Shannon Airport to Dublin Airport|
|Renter Requirement|| A driver must be at least 25 years of age.|
Each driver must have a valid, full national license.
UK License/Irish License: The paper license and the photo-card counterpart must be provided. For the older format paper licences, the customer must also present an extra form of photographic identity with a valid, full Passport.
Overseas Licence: If the renter’s driving licence is written with characters or in a language different to that of the renting countryn then an international driving permit is required with all non European licences Even when an International Driving License is needed, a domestic licence must also be presented.
UK residents who possess a non-EU license can drive in the UK for up to 12 months from the moment they have become a resident. After these 12 months have expired then their overseas licence becomes illegal in the UK and the UK equivalent must be acquired. A driver who holds a non-UK licence must present a valid passport at rental and the reservation/policy name must match the name driving licence name. We also reserve the entitlement to ask for extra identification in order to make additional ID checks and this might involve an external credit organisation
|Payment Policy||Debit cards are not accepted but we do accept every major credit card.|
When the vehicle is collected, a €500.00 security deposit is charged to your card. When the rental vehicle is returned and deemed in an acceptable condition, the security deposit will then be credited back to your card. Cash or Cheque payments are not acceptable. We do not accept Cash, Prepaid, Currency, Dinners club, Discover or Maestro Cards.
Any cards used will have to be in the renter’s name and they must be present at rental collection. All cards must be presented at the time of rental.
|Refueling Policy||Each vehicle will contain a minimum of a quarter tank of fuel. The renter has the choice of paying for used Fuel on return of the rental vehicle or alternatively opting for Fuel Pre-Purchase.|

|Delivery & Collection||Collection and Delivery is not available.|
|Roadside Assistance||Contact details for emergency roadside assistance (24/7 ) will be given in the rental contract. Renters are advised to call this number if needed. We have the right not to replace the car and pass on specific callout/repair charges to the renter dependant on the situation.|
|Roadside Assistance Protection (RAP)||(RAP) This is an agreement between the renter and Enterprise where the rental company will yield the right to take payment for lost key service and lock out, tyre damages, glass damages and breakdown call out service. Coverage is dependent on any acticities that void RAP, as rental agreement has outlined.|
|Rate/Day||The fee for RAP is €4.40 per day + APT +VAT|
